Royal Thai was made using an Early Thai mother and a Skunk#1 father. Our Royal Thai provides the strong, uplifting effect with the unique chocolate flavor that Thai is famous for, but with a better bud structure and a shorter flowering time.
This tall, slender plant takes 14 to 15 weeks to mature and comes in three phenotypes. One is a typical sativa, airy and stretchy, with a woody, piney flavor. The second leans more towards its Skunk #1 parent, with meaty, sweet-smelling buds. The third pheno has the typical chocolate flavor that Thai is famous for, but takes a little longer to mature.
Because of its size it is best to reduce its vegetative time to less than 24/0. It is very suitable for a scrog, but also works well with up to 9 plants per m². Prune just before flowering and about 3 weeks after flowering for optimal yields. Longer curing periods greatly benefit the aroma and effect of Royal Thai.
The buds have a sweet chocolate aroma with a hint of roasted coffee. The taste is sour and citrusy with a chocolate aftertaste. The effect is cerebral, stimulating, clear and potent, being an ideal medication for pain and stress during the day.
