Deez Nuggs Auto, an impressive result of the cross between Strawberry Nuggets and Orange Diesel, stands as a true genetic gem in the Mephisto Genetics catalog. This autoflowering strain takes the cultivation experience to the next level, and despite its seemingly uncommon lineage, the combination of these two strains has proven to be an undeniable success.
The Origin of Deez Nuggs Auto: A Dream Come True
Deez Nuggs Auto, originally known as Illuminauto #37, holds a special place in the heart of Mephisto Genetics. It was the first strain cultivated solo by Brad, the company's prodigy, after joining Mephisto Genetics in 2017.
The idea for Deez Nuggs was born almost 7 years ago when Strawberry Nuggets and Orange Diesel were in their early stages of development. "DEEZ NUGGS" was marked on the company's project board from the very beginning. For its initial release, pollen from a selection of F3 mother plants, labeled as "Gyal dem ting" for Strawberry Nuggets and "Big gyal" for Orange Diesel, was used.
Although we usually don't perform specific selections for our Illuminauto strains, this occasion was exceptionally special, so a sample from each variety was carefully selected for this cross. Now that it's finally available again, we can't recommend this strain enough to all cultivation enthusiasts.
Adaptable Cultivation with Tropical Flavors
Deez Nuggs generally grows with a compact and robust structure, and some growers can coax a medium-sized bush. But at Mephisto HQ, we prefer to consider Deez Nuggs as one of our ultimate premium varieties. To maximize yield, you can cultivate them with a slightly higher density than usual to create a uniform canopy, full of compact buds. You can prune and apply low-stress training techniques, although we've found that the best way is to perform defoliation in stages during the vegetative phase to encourage the growth of secondary branches. However, where Deez Nuggs truly shines is in its terpene production, emitting beautiful aromas that combine the fragrance of gas, fruit, orange, and strawberries.
